A telescopic carbon-fibre/fibreglass combo marketed for 'Ocean Saltwater Freshwater' use, sold as a full kit with reel, spare spool, line, lures and a carry bag.

We're recommending this for whiting, bream and flathead ourselves based on its saltwater-rated components and 10-14lb line capacity — Sougayilang's own listing says 'Ocean Saltwater Freshwater' generally rather than naming specific species.

Real, verified Australian reviews are genuinely mixed on durability here: alongside a positive review, two separate Australian buyers reported the rod snapping — one specifically while trying to collapse it for storage. We're reporting that pattern directly rather than smoothing it over.

Ideal for: Whiting, bream and flathead in estuary or inshore settings, for anglers who want a full accessory kit in one box and can accept a real risk of the telescopic rod breaking based on verified reviews.

Good quality product for the price. Have used it few times and faced no issues. Collapsing the rod might be a bit challenging as it is a bit hard to do so, but once you get used to it will not be a major concern.

Wouldn't collapse/pack away

The rods final length wouldn't collapse, no matter how hard I tried... The rod broke with me trying to collapse the final section in.
