X-BULL Gen 3.0 Recovery Tracks with Bag and Mounting Pin Set
Price verified 2026-09-14 — check Amazon for the current price.
A pair of reinforced-nylon recovery tracks (traction boards) for sand, mud and snow, rated to a 10,000kg load capacity, with a carry bag and mounting pin set included. Educational note: recovery tracks give a stuck tyre something to grip — they're a different tool to a snatch strap, used without another vehicle.
By far the most-reviewed product in this entire 4WD Touring comparison (720 ratings) — Amazon's own review summary notes the boards themselves are well-regarded, but the bundled mounting hardware is a recurring complaint, which several genuine Australian reviews confirm directly.
This is a lower design priority for us (Automotive-category commission is modest), so our role here is mainly to explain what recovery tracks are for and reflect the real, mixed feedback on the mounting hardware honestly rather than oversell the product.
Ideal for: Education first: recovery tracks work by giving a spinning tyre traction — dig around the tyre first, don't spin the wheels before placing them (it burns off the cleats), and treat the mounting hardware as optional if it doesn't fit your roof rack cleanly.

Seem decent enough to work

Will say tho, the mounting system I cannot for the life of me figure out how that is suppose to even work and have ditched that part and just strap to the roof... Lastly, these have no tail attached to pull them out the sand/mud so need to attach a rope or something if you want them back.
Mounting is trash

Boards are ok but the mounting system is trash!!! The distance between holes does match Rola platform, the universal mounts from online dont match the hole spaces and the bolts and nots they give you are rubbish. Just use the bag they come in
